It was fun

        

It has been a Saturday.... I slept in a bit (8 ish) and then Jeff and I headed out to just get a wheelbarrow and some grass seed... well, ummm, we got more... and most of it we needed.... just did not know we needed it....


...like this sign... I am sure it will be a part of many blog posts to come, but it was too good and too cheap to not pick up at BigLots...



...well, then there was this sign too, which we know will be part of blog posts inthe future...


After the shopping spree, we came home and worked on the front of the house... edged sidewalks that have not been touched since the 70's,  potted some plants that will bloom and bring color to the front... also hung the rainbow flag... we will see how that goes in the new hood... though the house looks bare now, we have dropped in butterfly bushes, wild flowers, cana lillies and other stuff that will fill in and hopefully make the front more colorful than jus the flag...


After working in the yard,  I fixed up some mac and cheese... but not regular mac and cheese... i used spicey cheese... Kroger has this white cheddar, one with chipolte spice and another with habenaro peppers... so I shredded it up with a little cheddar sharp...


mmmmm... so after it was all put together, it has been put in fridge to cool down... and Sunday we will attempt to fry it....
 yes! fried mac and cheese, with a kick!  It will be awesome for the Oscars!!!


Of course I had to take a bite or two of the mac and cheese... and Jeff is in the background making room in the fridge for the dish... more pics to come I am sure....

Tonight was the start of a show called "Who do you think you are?"... they take famous people and trace their family history... tonite was Sarah Jessica's night and it was really cool... next week is Emmet Smith (Dallas Cowboys, Dancing with the Stars)... I wish I could spend the money that NBC is shelling out for these folks to research my history line... some of the stuff in the show tonite was way too cool and Sarah Jessica was way cool too in it.. tune in next Friday night....

        

So this morning I had plans to take pictures throughout the day to post for a 5 of 5 thingy, but work was wierd and busy and I just got sidetracked... I am really rethinking the blog... not that I will stop blogging, but how a I proceed with it... I have some things to weigh out in my mind and how it would effect my personal and professional life for those who run across it... but for now I will keep posting and being silly (which I am sure will continue down the road)... What made think of the blog and a few things in life... I was on the way to work the other day and this chick Kelly Cutrone was being interviewed on the radio... the question from a listener who wanted to know what to do with her life was asked... the girl wanted to be in journalism or something and wanted to know how to break in... Kelly suggested something rather smart... start a blog... write for free for some local papers or blogsites and jump from there... but do what you want and feel you should do in life... do not wait...

As some of you may know, I was in the television business, on and off camera (and won awards on both sides, pat myself on the back)...I love taking pictures and being creative... I have always wanted to write a book (and have about 100 pages from a college class done)...I guess I am some sort of creative person... and the comments this other Kelly made on the radio really hit home... I have been (for the most part) doing somewhat of an editorial for the local gay paper... have been asked to contribute to another local gay blog and I think I will actually focus hard on both now.  I think between those two and this blog, I will become somewhat of a different person, but still the one you know and love (or hate)... I think the whole Facebook thing is great and has dragged many bloggers out of the blog world, but I also notice that many are starting come back, not totally leaving FB, but paying a bit more attention to blogging and writing out feelings in more than 200 words or so... as you can tell, I have a lot going through my mind right now and I think (and hope) it will all be good for me and those who spend a second or two reading this blog...


So this is me this morning on the way to work, well waiting for traffic to pass so I could pull out (hehehe) ... I think I have a man boob there... damn... more focus on the gym...


This is me tonite after a bit of trimming of the beard and hair... though I am still a little thin on top, i needed to trim up things (head, croctch, armpits etc...)

Okay... enough for this post...

        

It sucks when you are in a relationship and both of us have long weeks and  just become grumpy.  No fighting.  Just snide little remarks to each other.  Dammit weekend, get here already...

        

Lordy... first, Mother Nature does not give me a snow day, then it really has been a busy ass week for me at work... top it off with other things in life (which I will blog about in the near future, just can't now legally)... I will say that I am starting to feel a bit better physically... my shoulder and neck have been acting up for the past month or so and got bad like before... so the week before last I actually did what my docs told me to do (the first time around)  and started back at the gym... cardio to start until the muscles loosen up in the shoulders and neck, then on to body pump or weights... seems like I have a pinched nerve, but according to docs, it is stress, so I am slowly working back into full workout stuff... for now 30 minutes of cardio and crunches... I hope to move to weights in the next couple of weeks, then getting ready for New Orleans in September.... 25 pound goal to get rid of, unless it is all muscle...hmmmm...

Also, the last few days have been weird.... not at home, but at work... just been feeling weird.... you know how it is when you get some vibes that just make you think... oh well, we will see...

Why am I up at almost 2am.. bedtime... smooches!

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

A few weeks ago I pretty much shaved my head down... at that point I had nice thick hair...and now it is growing back... it is not all growing back... ARGHHHH!... I am losing it... not fair... my dad is 60+ and seems to have more than me... I do not want to do the flip over thingy... I know 40 is approaching, but please not yet.... let me get through Southern Decadance... unless I drop 30 pounds, 3 chins and can pull off the bald look... oh well... must go to bed and sulk myself to sleep... later taters!
