Typically if I travel and stay out of town I get drunk and take foolish pics... but I also take pics along the way... this time around I was out of it... I woke up Tuesday morning with a very hoarse sound in my voice... but I motivated and got on the road...hours on the road meeting with folks who do business with me (and also had time to stop and say howdy to my mom and day along the way).... I landed in Roanoke for the evening... started feeling congested, so I took my prescrip of vodka/fresca and hit the sack... this morning I woke up for more travel... even deeper voice and more flem...ughhhh... as the day progressed I did fine... well, until I started the 3 hour drive home.. lots of long stretches along I-81 and I-64.... yawn... cough... flem... more flem....arghhhh!!! So when I got home this evening, hubster and I kind of kept our distance for a bit as to cool down from very aggrevating days at work.... it is kind of a ritual for us... when we get home from work... a little smooch... change clothes... he gets his glass of wine and sits on the porch for a bit and I grab a beer or vodka fresca and blog hop.... we decompress from our day... then we start chit-chatting... today, he had his probs at work and I had to deal with moving meetings and cancelled meetings and just was frustrated... when you drive hours on end and even make plans for two days of meetings, then find out one or so, just penciled you in (knowing you were driving for hours)... it gets frustrating... add to it that I have begun to cough more and more.... arghhh... I will use vodka to kill the damn virus or whatever...hehehe... so back to my point... here are a few pics I snapped the last two days... nothing great...

This a shot in downtown Lynchburg looking up at a memorial and right now I can't think of it...I grew up in Lburg and have not been downtown in ages...they have done so much with the river front and all... I was amazed and rushed for time so I could not take more pics (took this with my phone)...


For the first time in a long while and many travels over Afton Mountain...it was a clear day today...

And that about wraps it up... gonna head to bed and hopefully wake up feeling a bit better... I better not get sick as the weather is starting to get nice... supposed to be in the 70's through the weekend... dammit!!
